Essential Duties

Concrete Loader


  • Operates a front-end loader for concrete plants.
  • Ensures that designated materials stockpile areas are organized and neat. 
  • Ensures that material stockpiles are properly stacked and saturated if necessary.
  • Loads and carries materials to the feed bins for use in batching concrete in coordination with concrete batcher.
  • Ensures bins are filled according to the job's specifications and in a timely manner.  Empties all aggregate bins (fine and coarse) at the end of each day.
  • Maintains batch plant areas to ensure that grounds are free from loose and scattered aggregate materials.
  • Completes pre/post-day reports to monitor and report mechanical and aesthetic issues on loader to appropriate personnel.
  • Daily, cleans exterior of loader with water at the completion of day to prevent cement/concrete buildup and ensures that interior is neat and in order.
  • Daily checks oil, coolant and transmission fluids.
  • Daily greases all grease fittings.
  • Twice weekly, cleans exterior of loader with soap and brush to prevent cement/concrete buildup.
  • Maintains and operates the front-end loader and other equipment in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Follows all safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.  Attends all safety meetings to gain a broader understanding of safety issues that will assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Communicates efficiently, effectively and courteously with peers, superiors and vendors to ensure the proper handling of the products.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all company personnel to ensure plants are properly serviced.
  • Knows the rules of the plant prior to operating the front-end loader.
  • Handles heavy equipment. 
  • Operates the front-end loader according to all the legal and policy guidelines to protect the employee, the community and the company.
  • Portrays a positive and accommodating attitude towards peers, superiors and vendors.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Materials Loader


  • Operates a front-end loader for concrete plants.
  • Ensures that designated materials stockpile areas are organized and neat. 
  • Ensures that material stockpiles are properly stacked and saturated if necessary.
  • Loads material from stockpiles to customer or company vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Maintains yard areas to ensure that grounds are free from loose and scattered aggregate materials.
  • Completes pre/post-day reports to monitor and report mechanical and aesthetic issues on loader to appropriate personnel.
  • Daily, cleans exterior of loader with water at the completion of day to prevent cement/concrete buildup and ensures that interior is neat and in order.
